Meeting #2 - Vocabulary Enricher ( with a free short true-ish story! )

YAY!
Today, I was the Vocabulary Enricher for the book, The Phantom Tollbooth. We read until page 127, and next time we will read to page 160, and I will be the Travel Tracer (self-reminder!)
Today I shall share with you some of the words that I found puzzling or confusing, or that I didn't know. Some of the other ones may be words I thought may be difficult to understand for other people, or just plain old interesting.

Using some of the words above, I have written five sentences using my new found vocabulary. Cue some fabulous and imaginative sentences (I made up all of them!) They link together and create one dramatic short story involving the extremely interesting lives of our class, 6B.

1.  After mishearing what Jana had said, Gemma was wreaking havoc among 6B, by laughing loudly and obviously.

2. Ashley looked at Gemma quizzically, not understand why she was laughing so loud, and disrupting the whole class.

3. Anka and Sara gave Gemma an ominous look of annoyance, as both of them wanted to continue working on the project at hand.

4. After turning a bright shade of crimson, Gemma stood up dramatically and left the classroom, in a huff.

5. Much of the rest of 6B thought that the exit of Gemma was more than commendable, and the classroom returned to its normal state of concentrated work.

I hope you enjoyed my short story made of my new words :). This story probably has happened before anyway, so it isn't THAT fictional....

Anyway, I hope you learned some new words, and wait for next week for a new blog post of mine!
